Frequently Asked Questions

1Can I cancel a reservation I have already paid for and get a refund?

Yes, there is a two-hour notice period in most cases. So, if you cancel at least two hours before the start of the tour, we guarantee a full refund. However, there are a few exceptions, like our Jazz Boat Cruise or Private Tour, where a 24-hour notice period applies. Alternatively, we can offer you an option to take the same tour at a different time or date or exchange the tour for another. You will be asked to cover the price difference if the replacement tour is more expensive.

2Can I change a reservation if the weather is not good (raining, etc)?

Yes, but you must inform us at least two hours before the tour starts. However, there are a few exceptions, like our Jazz Boat Cruise or Private Tour, where special conditions might apply. If you wish to change such a tour where special conditions were agreed upon, it is only sometimes possible to provide a change free of charge if notice is given too late.

3Do you offer discounts to children, students, seniors or groups?

Discounts are provided to children, students, seniors and larger groups if specified for an appropriate tour. Where it is not specified, there are no discounts available.

4Are prices for walks, tours, and excursions final?

There are no hidden extras: no extra service charges, taxes, booking fees or credit card fees.

5How do I receive the ticket/voucher for my tour?

Upon receipt of your reservation, we email you a booking confirmation. Email confirmation is your ticket. Please print it out or save it to your phone/tablet and present it at the start of the excursion or cruise.

6Are all excursions, tours or guided walks wheelchair-friendly?

No, only some excursions/walks/tours are available for wheelchair users. In all cases, a companion is needed to help get on and off the coach/minibus. Please get in touch with us regarding the particular tour you are interested in, and we will let you know if it is available for wheelchairs.

7Is there any advantage in booking ahead?

Prague is a popular city, and booking ahead is highly recommended. It ensures you a place on the tour of your choice on the day of your choosing.

FAQ - Walks and Tours

1I want to take more than one tour: what are the best combinations? I do not want to see the same things again.

Some tours include parts of other tours; in other words, if you go on one tour, you might see something you have already seen. For example, the Superior Tour is similar to our complimentary/free tour. So if you go on our Superior Tour, there is no reason to take our free tour and vice versa. The Prague Castle or Jewish Quarter tours are also partly included in the Free or Superior tours, so decide which one you prefer, as doing both is not recommended. Mostly, it is sufficient to take just one city tour. Other tour combinations or day trips are just fine.

2Do you guarantee a place on a tour if I turn up at the meeting point?

No. You need to book online to be 100% sure of a place. We have no cancellation charges, so you can cancel anytime up to one hour before the tour starts, so there is no risk for you.

3Do you offer tours only in English?

Tours offered on our website, except individual tours, private excursions or car tours of Prague, are conducted primarily in English. But the same tours on certain days are also possible in other major languages like German, French, Italian or Russian (check the website booking form to see whether a particular tour is available in your language). However, tours in other languages might be priced differently.

4Where exactly can I find your tour guide?

The meeting point for all the walks (except the Beer and Ghost Tour) is on the corner of Paris Street (Pařížská) and Old Town Square, opposite the St Nicholas Church next to the Czech Tourism office. You might ask at your hotel reception for exact directions. The Old Town Square is just a short walk from the Staroměstská (metro or tram station) and is one of the most famous locations in Prague. Then look for a red umbrella with the Prague Airport Transfers logo, and you will find our tour guide waiting for you close by. It is also the meeting point for our Free Tour. There is a different meeting point for all cruises. There is no tour guide for cruises, and you will find detailed information in the confirmation email regarding where the boat departs (see photos).

5How large are the tour groups? What kinds of vehicles do you use?

The size of the tour groups varies depending on the season etc. Usually, in the summer months, groups are larger compared to the winter months. But for your comfort, we only put together a few people, or we might use more tour guides, split the group, etc. If the tour is provided with a vehicle, we mostly use minibuses with seats for 4, 8 or 20 passengers. For private excursions, you can specify the model or type of vehicle that suits you best (for example, you might prefer a minibus instead of a sedan, etc., subject to availability).

6How is the Prague Airport Transfers Free Tour compared to other Free Tours?

There are some other free tours in Prague, and you do not need a "voucher" or to use an airport transfer company to join one - show up. But there are some traps and some differences, too. All other free tours work on a tip-based system, which means you are not paying upfront, but you will be politely asked to leave a tip at the end of the tour. That's why we are different - with our free tour, tips are not necessary, as our guides are fully paid. Our free four-hour tour is longer and covers a much wider area than most other free tours, completed in 2.5 hours.

7Are all your walks wheelchairs friendly?

All walks can be organized for persons using wheelchairs, but the most recommended are Old Jewish Quarter, Old Prague (Ghost Walk), and Medieval Prague, as the other tours use boat or tram transport.

8Are the minibuses heated/air-conditioned?

Yes, all our minibuses are heated in the winter and air-conditioned in the summer. Open panoramic buses are used for some tours in the summer months (usually from the middle of June to the middle of September) if the weather permits. These buses have an open roof, and some also have no glassed-in windows.

FAQ - Excursions/ Day Trips

1When I book your excursion outside of Prague, will I be able to explore on my own, shop, etc.?

Yes. If you book a shared/organised excursion after arriving at the destination, your guide will give you a tour. After the tour, you will have free time to spend on your own (usually one or a max of two hours, depending on the type of excursion). If you are booking a private excursion, you decide how long you stay and what you wish to see.

2What kind of lunch do you serve on trips outside of Prague?

Lunch is provided at a nice restaurant for specified (only for selected shared/organised excursions). You will mostly choose from a few meals, including a traditional Czech meal and a vegetarian dish. Drinks are not included.

On those full-day trips where lunch is not included in the price, you will still have time to have lunch on your own. Your guide will be happy to give you some restaurant tips.

During half-day trips (like Terezín, Kutná Hora or Konopiště), there is not enough time for a proper lunch, but you will have an opportunity to buy a snack.

FAQ - River Cruises

1What is the recommended pick-up time from our hotel for this excursion?

Our advice is between 9 and 10 am. However, this is only our recommendation, and you can specify any time which will suit you.

2Are there toilets on the boats?

Yes, every boat is equipped with lavatories.

3How are the boats laid out?

Every boat has an enclosed lower deck (where the buffet is set out) and an open sun deck with tables.

4Are there private tables for two on the boats?

The majority of tables are for six guests, some for four. There are no tables for two, but couples can have their own tables if the cruise is not full. If you wish to have a table just for two, you might wish to book some of our private romantic cruises.

5Are the cruises offered enjoyable?

The cruises are delightful but should not be compared to the luxury cruises in Paris, which are much more expensive. The meal is served buffet-style for dinner and lunch cruises, which might only suit some. If you require an a la carte menu, consider our Jazz Cruise instead. Please come with that expectation in mind, and you will have a good evening.

6Do you offer discounts for large groups?

For groups of 20 people or more, we can provide special discounts, menus etc.

7What is the dress code for the tours and cruises?

Smart casual from jeans to suits and evening dresses is considered OK.
